Location: Nashville TN. | I expected the New 1719 to sound very good.
I expected it to sound better than the Martin D-28
plugged in.
Upon picking up the Martin right after
the Custom Legend (both have 1818 Adamas strings)
My O sounded a lot fuller louder and warmer with both unplugged.
Plain better.
I wondered if it was just me liking the new toy.
I called my friend Liz Perez.
She 22 knows 0 about guitars.
She came over.
I played the same thing on the D-28 & 1719.
Then I asked
Which sounds better?
Which do you think cost more?
In both case she said the Ovation.
When I told the Martin new with the pickup installed is $800
more, she expressed herself shock with salty urban slang.
Now I'm wondering if I want keep the Martin at
all.
I'll decide in 6 months. |
