Location: NW Indiana		Hey Everyone,

I really like the look of the new C2078AXP-AF Okume Feather and was planning on ordering one, but I am comparing my 2078AX-BCB to it and it looks like the only difference is the 'look' of the top. My 2078AX has a deep bowl and the Op Pro Studio electronics. It seems the Okume Feather has the same bells and whistles except the veneered top.

I imagine this model is too new to garner a review, but can someone out there (from the factory?) give me a better comparison?

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR		Your 2078AX should have a Contour Bowl.

The 2078AX-BCB has a Solid Top (and a Contour Bowl).
The 2078AXP-AF has a Veneer on the top.
I don't know if that means one layer of veneer on solid wood or what.
The AF also has Abalone binding.

So you are correct. The Okume Feather looks cool.
Side-by-side sound check would be necessary to determine the tonal differences.
I don't know if anyone from the factory can answer...
That Factory is in Korea.
