Minty condition.
I bought this guitar about ten years ago and somewhat ashamed to say it has been its case since then – good reason to thin the collection. I notice that it has no truss rod cover? Assuming that adjustment is made via the sound hole, never seen this before and was wondering how unusual this is? Anybody any information.

Location: When?? | Yes, the rod adjustment is through the sound hole on most of the 1981s.. AND.. depending on the style of bracing used on that model, there may (or may not) be a pilot hole drilled through one of the bracing pieces which you have to feed the wrench through before the wrench reaches the rod's end receiver. Be sure to check for that and IF there is a pilot hole, it's there for a reason, so be sure to use it and DO NOT attempt to bypass it to go straight for the rod end beyond it! If you do, you the wrench will be out of alignment with the rod and it will cause it to bind and tweak. |
