Location: Indiana | I've mentioned my friend Freddie Powers here quite a few times. Freddie was with Merle Haggard's road show for many years and co-wrote numerous songs for Merle. He's been sinking into Parkinson's quick sand for a long time... too long, and he has finally been released. I loved this man and it's been awful to watch the effects of this disease on both he and his sweet wife Catherine.
The main reason I post this today is that Freddie was one of us. A devoted fan of the brand we all love. The rare occasions we see folks in his circle of friends like Willie and Merle playing O's can be directly attributed to Freddie.
Rest easy my friend. |

Location: When?? | Freddie Powers has passed. This is sad news. The stories that departed along with him are no doubt some of the very best ever lived or told. Condolences to you for the loss of your friend, a wish of enlightened flight to Freddie. |
