Location: Phoenix, Az. | I actually built this back in, I believe 2007. I won the bid on a NOS body at E-bay, not even sure why I bid on it as I didn't have any parts to build with. I started to finish the body and try to locate additional parts without much luck, finding parts. It was about that time I located the Ovation fan club one night while browsing the internet.
I don't remember exactly how, but I ended getting in contact with your own M.Woody. He was able to help me out with a couple of mini-humbuckers and one of his famous pick guards. We decided that when I finished the body I would ship it to him and he would install and wire the electronics. He put me in touch with Mr. Ovation whom had a neck, neck plate and nut. And life was good.
I got a bridge somewhere, and just as I finished the body I noticed there is a hole in the body to secure the bridge, except mine doesn't have one. Now this would be bad enough if I had just put a normal finish on this, but I didn't, I had to get stupid and paint a snake on the back and the hole went right in the middle of the snake. Any way I got it fixed shipped it to M.Woody and he did a wonderful job on it and shipped it back.
Put it all together it sounded incredible, you'll notice it has only three pots he put a blend on the pick-ups rather than individuals. I wasn't sure I was going to like that, but turned out so good I switched a couple of my other instruments over to one blend pot. I turned better than I could have ever imagined.
If I can get the pictures to up-load I hope you'll like it.

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | That looks great! How about a sound sample? BTW, it's too late for this year, but take 6 or 8 good, high-res photos next to some jack-o-lanterns or something ('tis the season and all) and send them to me for the 2018 calendar. (How's that for thinking ahead?) |

I remember that effort. I was a big fan of the Blend Pots over the 3 way switch.
Glad it has come to fruition! |
