PSA...

Patriot on craigslist in Ventura, CA...

Believe me, my first-world problem is too many good guitars in the house or id be on this quick...

Its listed at $700 with the added note to make an offer...

Owner, if you are on the board - gotta tell you, its a really enticing ad.

Carl

Arthur - you are 'da MAN...

Im on a tablet and did not know how to copy and paste that link - but you handled it in minutes! Appreciate the assist.

(Worse) better - in those few minutes i read that a patriot was the best sounding guitar even better than an adamas. Woah! Really? Better than an adamas?

How about this... one of you out-of-towners buy that thing, let me pick it up and play it for a month, and then ill ship it to you.

Hmmm...I've played one before and don't recall it sounding better than an Adamas?

If you have ever wanted a Patriot, this would be one to get! There doesn't appear to be a serious mark on it, no cracks, and it has the Certificate too!

I was told only 10% of them were made Acoustic/Electric, and this is one of them!

They have AMAZING Sound, absolutely Amazing!, and I have a couple of them, and paid over $1000 each for mine, this is a GREAT DEAL!!!

Nancy,
Are you an Ovation hoarder? I picture a cabin in some snowy woods stacked to the gills with guitars, nary a place to sit down and eat.

The different flavors of ice cream analogy certainly applies to guitars. I would rank my acoustic-only Patriot as the best sounding Ovation I've ever played. I even rank it as better than my Adamas 2080 for acoustic sound. And better than my 1537. Yes my Patriot is that good!

If it came down to only having one acoustic it would be tough to decide because they all have unique significant positive attributes. But if I had to pick one to play solo unplugged for someone important it would be the Patriot.

Adamas vs Ovation comes down to which flavor of ice cream one prefers. I tend towards the Ovation unplugged or mic'd, the Adamas plugged in.

The asking price of that Patriot is excellent compared to historical prices but may represent the current used guitar market. Somebody is going to get a great sounding guitar which looks to be in excellent condition. Plus case candy!

It's funny, the last three guitars I've bought have been Ovations, a mandercheller, the Italian Viper, and this. Who'da thunk it? They will all work great in the studio, and I'll use the Weeper playing live. The MandoC has already been used on the Hot Nut Rivitors new cd they have been recording the last two weeks.

I have a Patriot but it's an acoustic. I have had it strung as a high strung and it worked great for that. I've had it since it was given to CHK and after it was presented to him and they left the office he said, "Here, take this somewhere" so I took it home. It's # 1 of 1776.

No, just really clean and reasonably priced. I'll put it in the studio, someone will use it.

Like most any guitar I have had then sold... I miss it. I never did do the "Spirit of '76" picture I wanted to do with my 1860 drum, a fife and that guitar.
