Tone wish tho......do inlaid epis affect the vibration of the top differently as opposed to surface mounting?

Location: Boise, Idaho | One of the ideas for making the sound holes in the shoulders of the guitars was that area didn't vibrate as much. In the 1537s there's a layer of wood under the shoulders and the epis. I don't think we ever figured out why, but it makes 3 layers of wood and it doesn't seem to affect the vibration of the 1537s. Most would agree the 1537 sounds as good as anything. |
