Joined: December 2003 Posts: 1889 Location: Central Massachusetts | Ovation VXT-D Deluxe Brown Sugar Flame Maple I picked this one up locally a couple of years ago but it just isn't getting any playing time. It's basically in new condition, I can't find any scratches or flaws. Comes with an Ovation hard shell case, truss rod wrench, and splitter cable. The flamed maple finish and tortoise binding on this is just fantastic! Description from one of the guitar sale websites for those who don't know what this is: The Ovation VXT Deluxe Acoustic-Electric Hybrid Guitar allows you to pan from sweet acoustic finger style to hard driving power chords with just a turn of a knob. Or, discover a near infinite range of exciting new sounds by combining electric and acoustic in various amounts. Two Seymour Duncan '59 humbucking pickups supply plenty of electric power to cover a wide range of styles — including blues, jazz, country, hard rock and heavy metal. To provide acoustic realism, the VXT guitar employs Ovation's VIP virtual microphone imaging preamp. This innovative technology offers guitarists access to a natural, studio-quality acoustic sound. The Fishman Power Bridge provides true acoustic attack without Piezo distortion. The one-piece chambered Honduran mahogany body creates a rich depth for both the electric and the acoustic modes, without a trace of feedback even at high stage volumes. FEATURES Electric-Acoustic Hybrid Body Type: One-Piece Chambered Honduran mahogany Top: Flame maple Scale Length: 25-1/4" Fretboard: Rosewood Fret Inlay: Pearl Dots Pickup: Seymour Duncan '59 Humbuckers Nutwidth: 1-11/16" Machines: Chrome Ovation Priced to move at $800 plus shipping/insurance. Mine was a bargain purchased from Woody (I believe) and this one is even better. You just can't get this kind of wonderful tone with a traditional electric or acoustic. | ||
