Location: SW Mintsoda | Just saw this new, smaller, updated Jazz Chorus amp - 40 watts into 2 10" speakers, only 34 lbs. Has the chorus, but also a true vibrato effect and an updated distortion (actually does sound decent, but probably not needed with O acoustics).
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone here every used a JC120 (or JC77 or JC90, etc.) with their Ovations/Adamas? Comments?

Location: SW Mintsoda | Yeah...what you put into them is pretty much what you get out - would love to demo my L717 through one sometime soon... |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | JC 120 has been a staple for Acoustic/Electric guitars for a long time. That being said, I would not expect JC40 to be similar without listening. The JC120 had a somewhat perfect storm of the right speakers in the right cabinet with the right sounding Chorus and right sounding Reverb that just worked for Acoustic/Electrics. |

Location: SW Mintsoda | I've listened to a number of demos online (always risky, I know), and so far the amp sounds very good, and to looks GREAT on paper (the specs), including the price.
Ironic, since I just bought a different solid state amp (Tech 21 Trademark 60), right before seeing this JC40 one - the TM60 will arrive this afternoon, so I'll run it through its paces later tonight - and I'll even try the O through it, although it seems to be eq'd different than a Jazz Chorus... so I'm not expecting stellar results with an acoustic guitar/pickup. |

Location: SW Mintsoda | The more I play the TM60, the more I think about the new Roland JC40... I think the TM60 may go back and I'll wait till I can try the Roland (with both my acoustics and electrics). I've always liked the clean tone of the JC120 with my electrics - never played an acoustic through one. |
