Not wishing to re-invent the wheel, what have you found to be an acceptable and reliable method of reattaching the battery box to the inside of a 1982 era 1669?

Thanks....

If you are talking about the outside screw version, proper alignment, & remembering the orientation of the tab on the screw. Then loosening the strings, to get your hand inside the critter. Probably obvious, & may not address your dilemma, but you asked.........

There should be a foam piece. Won't stay on there without it. You can probably make something for yourself.

Anyone have a pic to show cool what it's supposed to look like?

The foam applies enough pressure to hold the box in place when you twist the screw/lock.

Thanks gang. That foam piece wasn't in the bowl, just that box in the pictures. Strange. However, I did locate some industrial strength velcro out in the garage, found that flat spot by the volume control and stuck it there. The velcro is nice and thick so I don't think there will be any vibrations.

Thanks.....
