I  am noticing on my Standard Elite some string buzz on the high E from the 3rd fret to the 1st fret. Is this an indication of needing to tweak the truss rod? It is the only string making this buzz...

Many thanks

could be, or it could be a high fret that's wiggled itself loose with the changes in humidity.

If you have the tools to check, shouldn't be too hard. If not, a luthier should be able to tell you quickly, and usually without charge assuming you'll have them fix it.

Ok, the original owner was from Colorado, I live in Georgia...I was wondering if the humidity caused either the truss rod to loosen slightly.
How would I check to see if a fret is too high? I can eyeball and see that everything looks normal, but I am a novice so is there a specific height the fret should be at?

Thanks

Take a credit card (library card, health card) and use it as a "Fret Rocker".
