This guitar is in nice condition and sounds fantastic plugged in or acoustically. This guitar is Ruby Red and everything works so there are no issues there. However, there is a small chip in the Top. It's odd in that I didn't notice this until I took the pictures and wondered how long it's been there. There's also a little fret wear on the cowboy frets as well as some of the typical light scratches from playing. Overall, a very nice guitar in nice condition. Price = $1150 + 1/2 of shipping (continental US). Other shipping will have to be quoted. Thanks for checking out my guitar and let me know if you're interested. https://www.dropbox.com/sc/dycgkll0u66p3lp/AACHx_wpizSmJeS9Skw73D3ia https://www.dropbox.com/sc/wyq4t7k3ei4mslr/AABxg0_sJsG78UR9-sTJ-fk0a https://www.dropbox.com/sc/tv5od2p0i3fpq4c/AABfA_pwCdEcCfBzYF88cnc9a https://www.dropbox.com/sc/85uf149k8dk5uwl/AABz-EvVahj5O28BeucDDMlIa https://www.dropbox.com/sc/5sh10e0wcg15r7v/AADagvZJG8B9WxL4Y2RCjTUMa https://www.dropbox.com/sc/9vjatf5lw7ju1hl/AACpvsh7Bf8rTnVBt65PsZwga https://www.dropbox.com/sc/xm4sdj1v00lhsub/AABzK9hIY-o5Q2tpkvy7unjDa https://www.dropbox.com/sc/h9p8a3wmxgjfct4/AAC7rgQzgFhxTrOlsRCYhj7xa https://www.dropbox.com/sc/byn18wnypf6ag7e/AAASqPYSdEOzxLUCs4uA5cS4a https://www.dropbox.com/sc/eoatvbulsy4um3i/AAAQEcQ01iJ4_YUiv5xovSGla

I have one, and paired with Thomastik spectrum strings, tunned with a Peterson Strobo, and played with a mammoth ivory pick, there´s no better sounding 12 string guitar in the world. Whatever the reason, would luck with the sell Jim

But I've been looking for a deep body Adamas 12 string for a long time so it's time to make the move. I've never tried Thomastik spectrum strings....or the Peterson Tuner.....or a mammmmmoth ivory pick. Are these great for every guitar or just Adamas 12 strings?

I tunned my 6 string Ovation Elite with Peterson, but the sound is ok, I created my own tunning after lots of trial and error testing James Taylor tuning, Kevin Ryan method, and Peterson. But the 12 string sweetened from Peterson sounds unbelievable good, otherwise the 12 string will sound just loud, but not sweet and nice. The Mammoth Ivory added an amazing sustain and clarity. The first time I strummed and singed a song with the pick, my heart screamed, never ever experienced that emotional connection. You have to huge the pick with your fingers instead of only using the tips, otherwise will sound clicky. I have the Trifecta 1mm from Darryn http://www.tuskbuffer.net/ivorypicks.html and strumming, I play with the radius point. However, with the pointy tip the solos, riff, any leading sound with amazing clarity and the material slides and fly over the strings. I play much better. I may try the Sharkfin 1.3 later. In the 6 string, the sound is more rounded, and balanced. Much better than plastic. I manage to obtain a brighter sound if I play with te pointy tip, and turn sideways. But needs a bit more volume for a six string, while is perfect for the 12 string. The Bob Colosi Buffalo horn also sound nice, as the Tortoise Tone Blugrass. Tha natural materials do make a big impact on the sound of a 12 string. The tortoise the rounded shoulders has no bevel, so they sound with a bit of rasp and bright, that sound fantastic on my 6 string strumming, but in the 12 I prefer the rounder tone of Mammot. The tortoise the pointy tip sounds exactly as fingernails, but need a bit more volume. I guess 1 mm is not the best option for volume, however 1 shoulder is like 1.1 and the other 1.5, what a difference in tone and volume. Bright, alive sound with great volume. The tortoise is definetly my best pick on a six string and for strumming. The Colosi is more dark, rounded and elegant. All natural materials are very similar between them, Tortoise being brighter, Mammoth the neutral, and Buffalo horn the darker. For a six string, between 1.1 and 1.4 will be the ideal size, at least for me. The Thomastik will sound classy and nice on a 6 string, but is stellar on Adamas. It will add a woody sound to a carbonfiber, yet clarity and fantastic sustain. When I play a celulloid plastick pick, I cannot beleive how much we´re loosing in tone by not using natural pick materials. The only problem is the pick noise, so you have to adjust your technic hugging the pick, that way it´s almost no click noise. Edited by Leo 2015-03-11 3:52 AM
