(Ideas: "Shut up already and just 'plink'!"; or: "don't get yer thumb caught in the little sound hole" etc.)

Villanova Junction is only one of Hendrix many great unheralded moments on tape. Your choice of Vai's Tender Surrender too; great example of his ability to play regardless of his chops. Really wish your Adamas song had been longer; you really play with fire and taste as well and I look forward to hearing more!

It's amazing how sometimes chops get in the way. I guess that's what happened with various "virtuoso" styles in the 1970s. As for my own "Adamas" tune: This is a fragment from a suite for two guitars. I have some recording to do!

Just by complete chance I decided to go to Kawasaki tonight and saw a band that was in Shinjuku last night. Really liked them last night too but had some shopping to do and just as I was walking away they started a tune without the singer; Crying Machine. One of my favorite Vai numbers, but they did an incredible rendition of it with a tiny drum kit, upright bassist and two acoustic guitarists! It was so nice that they found the heart of the song without copying it verbatim, and injected new life, without sounding deliberate. Be sure and let us all know when you have a cd ready!
