It's beautiful has a very nice 'ebony' fretboard, straplocks, & the 90s Ovation logo case, strings thru the body..has the typical Hartford made in USA & EA68 white sticker on the inside of the top leaflet...however, it has NO serial number ANYWHERE..the gentleman gave me the number 483524..said that was the serial number the store gave to him when he bought it. They said it was made without one..? .the headstock is perfect, certainly has not been tampered with..anybody out here ever came upon anything like this? I have 4 others & all have the typical behind the headstock 'stamped' in serial number...:-) Thanx in Advance! Dan

"bought...from a very nice gentleman from Mass..." black stained rosewood fretboard :( painted-on neck stripes to simulate the 5-piece neck :( laser-printed label inside :( addition of string-thru ferrules :( Search all the archives on the Board. When your done (you won't find anything related), take a light and look around in the cavity of the top leaflet. You should find a little sticker with an embossed serial# :) . I have had a few with the serial# on a small tag in the cavity. Reminded me of the "asset tags" we would put on computer equipment. Look towards the neckbolt pocket. I'm sorry, I just do not remember the exact location. I think the natural EA68 at Fred's house is like that. Hey Fred... where is the sticker. :D
