I had a '74 Ovation Custom Balladeer back in '74. I liked that guitar. Now there is a plethora of Ovation options and it's a bit confusing. I've some enthusiasm to find a '70s instrument in fine shape - they seem to be frugal. But I don't know enough about what ensued in the '80s/'90s/etc. Were there improvements made over the years/decades? Are there certain years to seek/avoid? Sort of looking for a Legend or Custom Balladeer. Not concerned about electronics. Any experienced perspectives would be helpful. Thanks everyone.
