Wow, I just heard (traveling since July 2) . . . Johnny is one of my first and deepest influences. I bought his Columbia debut "Johnny Winter" hot off the press in late 1969. The famous "Johnny Winter And" and the "Live!" LP are still among my favorite rock albums of all time. It still bothers me that his Woodstock fireworks were not included in the film and record (at least at first). RIP, Johnny.
