Earlier this year, I posted a thread about my collapsed Legend 1866 12-string…
http://www.ovationfanclub.com/megabbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=37...

Long story short, based on recommendations from forum members, I sent it in for repair. About the time it was due to be finished, I heard the very sad news about the Connecticut plant closing. Since my repair was one of the last completed by long-term Ovation craftsmen at the Ovation American facility, I e-mailed John and asked whoever was involved to sign the back of my guitar.

Thanks to Mike DeNoi and John Bludny. And, no… no way will I sell this instrument now.

Just in case someone searches for John's last name, it's Budny, not Bludny, Bundy or Budney. John's probably seen a lot more misspellings. The perfect example of what customer service should be is now closed. I hope John, Mike and everyone else can continue to use their talents to make a living and show everyone how it should be done.

You're right… my bad. I was focused on finding Mike's proper spelling and I blew it with John's name (which I did have trouble tracking down initially due to many spellings online). Apologies, John.

I don't know who the craftsmen were who repaired my daughter Sara's Adamas but they did amazing work. Better than new, for a great price. John was a first class customer service rep who took a personal interest in the job. I've never experienced anything like the care the Mothership gave us and our babies.

I'm gonna have to go with Linda Manzer is the Picasso of guitars.  ;-)

But I'd easily put Mike up as Rick Dale.  :-)

Wonderful, Bobbo. I thought I needed to update my glasses prescription.
