Location: Colorado | Business is taking me to DC next weekend - though I have been there many times - I've never perused the local guitar shops...any recommendations in the area include VA. and MD? - I like the stores with new stuff - and I like the stores with musty old stuff...any recommendations? |

Location: McLean, VA | Definitely check out Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center:

One of the best music stores in the area, hands down. It's in Wheaton, Maryland (accessible by the DC Metro subway if you don't want to drive there).
The tour on the website gives some sense of what the guitar department is like:

There are a number of Guitar Centers in the area as well, although nothing too surprising there - I actually just joined this forum because I was at one of my local Guitar Centers and they had a number of Ovation models on clearance, so if you're looking for an Ovation you might find a good deal (I would suspect these would be national deals though). |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | Victor Litz usually has some great deals in their used section and new stuff too, and also Atomic Music used to be "THE" place for cool eclectic stuff in the area. I see they have two locations now, so I'd have to check'em both out. |
