| Joined: November 2004 Posts: 1374 | Anybody want to see mine? ;) two of the babies just got home today, I'll take some pictures tomorrow as soon as I quit drooling from the fumes from the fresh glues and finishes... and quit marveling at the stunning job that John, Kim, Darren and crew did.. the 1115 and the 1537 are the ones that arrived today... the 1985-x classical elite should be here in a day or two... they are gorgeous(severe understatement), and sound great(another understatement) and am positive they will open up nicely! Char may be getting out of the hospital by the end of the week... still trying to get her stabilized on the blood thinners. my son just came back down to help out while Char's recovering... getting him settled in, he brought his MOB47 and my 71 Balladeer down with him. It was no contest - the burst was WAY better, even comparing 1537's which all sound killer anyway. If I wasn't financing something bigger I'd never let go of one again, but as the saying goes... :D | ||

Of course, it will take the rest of my life to be able to afford all of them. In the running is a McPherson and of course a custom Adamas, but currently I'm having a hand-made Cornerstone Adi/Myrtle SJ made, with custom inlays and the works. Basically selling several to buy one, which I expect I'll do many more times before I fill the stable with the definite "keepers." I'll regret selling that one at some point, but that's just how it goes... ;) | ||
