Just came across this video that shows some impressive 12-string picking:

I watched this TV-Show in the early eighties. And all I've dreamed off as a kid, was to own such a beautiful guitar. And I made my dreams come true in the following years. In the nineties til' 2007 I was an Ovation Endorsee for the German Distributer Musik Meyer. Funny, last year i bought especially this twevestring from Sigi. He's not playing Steelstrings anymore. And he still owns his Adamas Nylonstring prototype. In 1987 he won the Ovation Award. He's the only european musician who won this Award and Beal handed him the Collectors Series Guitar 1987 Serial-# 1 "Build for Sigi Schwab" in Frankfurt together with the Award-Medaillon.
I'm proud to own now his 1688-7. It's Serial-# is 260-(94 Top Frequenzy) and it's maybe the second production 12-String Adamas 1. Sigi graded it up with the OP 24 Preamp in the eighties. He used it during the eighties and nineties an his main guitar. And I'm still playing it at my gigs from now on :-)
It sounds a bit different than the later produced models. That maybe depends on the missing Beam under the Bridge. I own three 1688's so I'm able to compare their different soundings. Maybe Beal can explain more about this early birds :-)

That's a great clip.... I had never seen Sigi Schwab before. A great feature for Adamas, too!
