I've got a wood topped Adamas right now on ebay AS-NEW priced $1300 below what a new one is going for and already $200. less than I paid for it. Not one bid, nibble, question, or offer. Nada

I'm trying to sell my 1970 muscle car right now and I have it up online for dirt cheap and not a single call.. nothing. People are spending money on food and over priced gas to survive I guess. I can't sell my Viper for $600 and it's worth that all day long.

Just got my first Adamas and am looking at others but just saying. Regards

They are impervious to conditions which would/could bring down a wood box guitar. Just don't drop them down any stairs or subject them to similar abuse and they will be good indefinitely. I for one am not a bit worried about the future of my Ovations and have no doubt whatsoever that someone will be enjoying them long after I have crossed that river.

I said I would grab my Adamas and travel around singing songs, spreading news, basically begging for a meal and good company in lieu of trying to be the best armed target for the struggling masses. I say the value is there and always will be. None of us are getting rich now off of selling used Ovations. Eventually some of the protos and one offs will get recognition but I don't expect to see it. *Civilization is what you bring to the picnic.

Nice one's aren't cheap. We need these kids and younger adults to keep the brand, it's reputation alive and that it doesn't end up as pictures in history books. You can't put a price tag on reputation, customer service, and quality. Of course guys like us know how great these guitars are and how well built they are, if you take care of them they will last 30+ years or more. We all see the value, we hope their value will increase, I just hope this sentiment trickles down to the younger aspiring guitar players and they see and appreciate these fine guitars. Nothing ticks me off more than seeing an eBay ad with the statement of "the typical Ovation crack for a guitar this age." It's because you didn't care for it knucklehead. Anyway, I'm hoping value goes up of course and not down for the wrong reasons.

Well there will be no more Ovation US guitars, and and the younger generation will have little to no awareness of what they were, so I doubt they will stay away on purpose - it's just nature's way it will be. Plus they are exposed to the mighty marketing machines of other manufacturers.

It would appear that Elderly, at least, is banking on high quality used Ovations commanding handsome prices.
