Wanted to see about the possibility of buying neck for one of my elite t's and how long we might be able to buy parts there. Phone number I used was 860-379-7575. Is that the right number?

I guess the Ovation employees probably suffered the same fate. Seems some had guitars ordered but not completed, and are now in limbo. So, I guess Alpep is right, I am out of luck as far as getting anything from the factory. A small inconvience for me, but I certainly feel for all those good folk there.

So after not being too successful in glueing it back down, and it kept breaking in new places, I took it all off! Foolish move. Did not think about getting new binding under frets. Some of the frets are not in the best shape but not too bad. Neck itself is fine and tuners are fine. Had been thinking about sending back to NH and having them do a good tune up. Of course that is now not possible. So I thought maybe I could acquire a neck and replace that myself. Thanks

Are there any other model necks that would fit an elite t? Might find a project ovation and trade necks. I keep my guitars hanging on an interior wall.

I think it would be much harder to try to rebind the neck with the frets in the way. The most difficult part would be getting the binding flush with the top of the edges of the fretboard. It would be much easier to do with the frets out of the way.

I seem to remember old posts as to the wire even encouraging getting the wire from the factory (now fat chance). I have a deep bowl 1669 dark sunburst Custom Legend that was a real project as it had been a rental...now, after fixing the electronics that didn't work (replaced the saddle), removing CYA across the top, eliminating finish cracks, etc. It is now a great looking and playing guitar except I need to replace the top three frets. Been screwing around with it occasionally since 2004. Used it to practice slide but not enough practice to advance from horrible to mediocre (not the guitar's fault). Looking at StewMac, confused about which guage, etc. Any good advice other than having Moze in San Diego do a full refret? Only paid $365 and might offer it for what I paid but would like to have the frets repaired first as it is playable but the three frets are heavily scored.

The phone # is correct, they route you to John Budny ext.120. I sent a email as well as left a message and was called back fairly quickly and placed the order. He said they might be sent home at the end of the month but was fairly certain Fender would keep parts available. It should arrive in about a week, Customer Service doesn't seem ready to take the card #s and run to Bermuda yet. I went through this with Zeta when they went under after moving to New Mexico after the Gibson years. Their violin pickups are similar in concept to Ovations and sound great. In the case of Zeta one of the Luthiers started building them again presumably after getting the tooling etc...under a new name so it can happen.
