Haven't been on in a while but after all the RANTS and telling FENDER off in emails I wanted to post something. I left the factory in 2008 and took on my own endeavors but it makes me sick what is happening knowing all the people that have slaved there for decades. I remember an email to John Budny about what needs to be done with Ovation and even Guild to survive. But I am one voice so what value is that ??? Right now I have Ovation's original Roland JC 120 amp from the 70s until it was replaced in around 2000 with a trace Elliot . There is one feature that makes it possible to know it was from the sound room when Ovation's were shining . If anyone has a vintage photo of the sound room Id much appreciate.

Amp works great for being on for 30 years because the light switch didn't turn it off. But it does need a major cleaning of course.

I miss you guys and if I was handed a Custom Legend and a Taylor . You know which one I would pick!!!

Im actually in a really bad mood so Im not really worried about the back lash. There was someone Hired at Ovation and took over guild later on and I remember when he was hired. Didn't know a *** dam thing but knew how to talk and bullshit his way through management. I hope this person is proud of himself. Ovation could be shining once again .

That describes about 95% of the people I've met on this planet....

We all know here what was amazing about Ovation right???? We have all played the foam necks and the Ultras and the Adamas as well as the shred happy custom Legends. Im starting to think that Charlie Kaman was a little more ahead of his time then we thought???? I built my own Q with my own Ovation back that should be the Ovation back but of course before mentioned wouldn't have such a thing. I remembered Al De Meolas 1627 coming back with a crack in it . I bought that guitar and played the hell out of it and who cared if it had a crack in it. What I didn't realize was it was the Ovation he used In Friday IN SAN FRANSISCO with John M and Paco D. I so wish I still had that guitar but my Luthier in me is saying it isn't that Al D owned it but that the reason he sounded so great was because it was an Ovation. Im a loss for words now and I wish I was a millionaire because that factory would not be closing right now. And guild would be making Taylor and Martin try to catch up . I told John Budny that the problem with guild is they live the life of ACOUSTICGUITARFORUM Instead of living their own life.

Ill Shut up now..

I think I am going to reproduce the Volume electronics because you cant beat them . You can keep your Eq and tuners but they are the 50s tech that sound the best!!! I ask everyone to listen to Friday night in san Francisco because that's the Ovation Tone I know and love.

Still trying to get into Bill Kamans Ovation. A lot changed then
