Easter Bunny came by my house this week and delivered my first shiny bowl, a 1968 Deluxe Balladeer. I've had shallow, mid and deep bowl Ovations before, but this is the best sounding 6 string Ovation I've owned to date. The inlaid rosette and the shiny bowl are just beautiful.

Location: SoCal | You know, for a guitar that's about 45 years old, that guitar is in remarkable shape! Those were always great sounding guitars. Some of Ovations best.... |

Location: North Carolina | It's got a couple small cracks behind the bridge and the rosette is coming loose in a couple spots but nothing major. Pretty good shape for it's age... |

Location: Chicago | Really nice. I think that this is exactly the guitar John McLaughlin plays on my favorite record, "My Goal's Beyond". I could never understand why he switched to nylon ten years later ("Friday Night in San Francisco" tour)
