Made in China guitars  Look pretty, and cheap.  You get what you pay for.

But check out what they're making in New Hartford alongside the Guilds, O's and A's:  http://www.fender.com/series/pro-custom/.

Yeah, that's a different price point.
Gotta agree with the headstock thing.

My '65 Palomino is a horrible POS GSO (guitar shaped object) but we will never part. Just something about it.

It's all in your upbringing. If you consider yourself an electric player, it's kinda cool.

My only acoustic guitar for 20 years was a Fender Concord. Now defunct, but it was in the same California stylings with the same electric style headstock. I'd probably still have it had I not let my sone use it for lessons at high school (he left it in the music room and it was stolen).

Sounded like crap, but i had nothing to compare it to until I bought my 1778LX 10 years ago, so ignorance was bliss. Played pretty good though.

I for one LIKE THESE VERY MUCH and if I had the extra income to throw around, I'd throw some over to Fender for one of these. I assume the factory in NH is building them?

I bet these models, Asian or not, have been some of the most succesful for Fender, and mostly due to the headstock. I mean really... who even knows what an acoustic Fender headsock shape is supposed to look like? It's not like you cn pick it out of a crowd like an Ovation... Oh... Forgot... That's history now.

I have 1969 Fender Malibu which i picked up for $325. Had a little done at the Mothership... Doyle Dykes happened to be there and gave whirl... 7 months later its sitting on a triple stand with 2 of my Guilds at LMG last Oct. Doyle was talking with some breaks and said I think I played that guitar. Yup he did... I really like 1960's USA made (Anaheim) acoustics. I think they are really under rated. My Malibu become my writing guitar. If I did not have Ovation with flag it I brought that to Nashville. At least a dozen Fender Acoustics in museums around Nashville. Btw Cheap Fender acoustic are pretty good for the money. I bought an Elvis Kingman as a beater its pretty nice guitar.

now this beats all and makes me want to slam my head against the wall of how & who in the world came up with this idea. i would of loved to be a fly on the wall in this board meeting.
fender now has launched an electric acoustic guitar after wayne kramer from the m c 5 .
what kind of marketing are they going after. wayne kramer is famous for hard core grunge political rock and roll kick out the jams m.f'ers. why would they name an acoustic / electric after him?
i don't get it but then again im not a highly paid executive at fender. GWB

I know, right?  What kind of self-respecting acoustic guitar company would make a guitar for metal heads?
