I was surfin around and saw an ad for a Viper III at GC in Dewitt, NY for $650

 

No pics though. I'm broke, too bad. These don't pop up too often.

Just saw this and thought I'd try to follow up on it (Dewitt is ~10 minutes from me) but the ad must have been taken down because a search for "viper" only turns up a LTD Viper.

Just spoke with the tech at GC about this Viper. He said the neck is pretty worn and there is an issue with the truss rod or something that can't be corrected. Probably the threads are stripped. Needs a pick guard and someone drilled holes in the body to hold the input jack down.
