Location: NJ | Everytime MasterJeffrey comes t'visit, he always ends up being subjected (ad nauseum) t'whatever CD I'd recently picked-up. (Last time, it was Frampton's instrumental CD "Fingerprints").
"Sleepless" is a solo album (put out like 2-3 years ago) by Peter Wolf (former J. Geils Band).
There's a tune on there called "Nothin' but the Wheel" that literally just HOOKED me. The intro's got that Keef/"BleedOnMe" groove all OVER it! (and Jagger even sings harmony on it).
I'd heard the song on the radio when it first came out, LOVED it, but "forgot" all about it.
A year or so ago, we were in a movie theatre, and the song started coming on during the closing credits (I forget the flick), and I fell in love with it all OVER again.
GREAT tune!!
Anyway, I FINALLY remembered it (again) and picked it up last week. Good CD! While there a couple tunes that are . . . (somewhat)J.Geils-ish, there's aLOT on it that's acoustic-driven, bluesy, tunes. Not what you'd expect from him . . . GoodStuff.
(btw; . . y'can betcher @$$ that "Nothin' but the Wheel" will be coming down to Amelia w/me . . .) |

It is a great tune and the album in general is very good. I was having "Let It Bleed" flashbacks (mostly due to that tune)... |
