THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR VOTES

A local friend's band "The Crying Game" just won some sort of 'best video' contest for new bands over on MTV. No voting required, but it's a cool video to watch if ya wanna.

Eric Snyder's a friend, but is also the only guy I've paid for guitar lessons from for a couple decades. A grad from GIT, he's pretty awesome on a 6 string. This video doesn't show off his talents as a guitarst as much as it shows off his creativity. He thought up the idea and had all the moms from the band play the parts (plus a couple extras). Eric also sings "Like a Virgin" in the break

Have a watch. It was fun. We're going to the CD release party next week.

Um... The band name is "The Crying Spell" not The Crying game which was a movie that I've never seen but heard about.

Sorry for the confusion

darkbarguitar - 2014-02-18 2:18 PM Nice old Mercury

I had a Cougar XR7 nearly identical to that one, same color but mine was blue vinyl top and interior.   Had a 351 Windsor motor in it and was a great ride.  It was essentially a sporty model of a Lincoln MkIV.  Lotta fun had in and with that old cat.

Cool video.  Gotta love the nod to Rainier Beer too.

Good luck to the The Crying Spell.

that cougar sits outside the guys' teaching studios, is owned by the landlord, and has a for sale sign on it. I actually agree with Bob (did I just say that out loud?) and asked Eric about it before. He said the dude wanted too much.

It's cool the guy let the band use it in the video.

BTW, the drummer Chase (also eating the wings in the Virgin break) gave drum lessons to my 17yo this past summer. He was also asked to join Queensryche on their last tour, but he declined due to other obligations. Really talented dude.

If you ask me, both he and Eric could do other sorts of music that showcase their talents more, but that's just the ol' shredder in me talkin'.
