Hi - I'm new on the board. I make and repair mostly electric guitars. I've been asked to look at a Balladeer with a broken neck. I'd like to know from the knowledgeable people here how feasible it is to replace the neck, and where might I source one? If anyone has a neck for sale, I'm interested.

Thanks

JC

Welcome JC3!

Which model?
Removable neck or attached - they used Epoxy so you have to destructively remove either the neck or the body to reuse the other.

Uh-oh, I was hoping it was a bolt-on neck, because I've seen Ovation neck bolts on 'bay????

The Mothership (aka Ovation customer service) does a fantastic job and you end up with a new guitar at far less.

You can still share some photos and get some feedback here. Some things are repairable.

Th trouble about the mothership is that she's on the other side of the Atlantic. I think I'll pass on this busted Balladeer and stay with nice bolted-together guitars ;-)
