I just sat there staring at the pages. Well after a quick search on google, I found some info on them. Basically just what the name infers. A Ukulele with a Banjo body. Whodathunkit....

Mandolin-banjos are common in antique shops over here, and the banjolele was huge for a while because of George Formby. Horrible, horrible instruments. The work of Satan.

Well maybe not :( Well I had never heard of it before.. but apparently it was popular enough in the 1920's to have lots of sheet music written for it. Ain't that just sumpt'n..

Theyre fun, but Ilike Ukuleles much better. Just hearing a ukulele reminds me of when I visited Hawaii. The musak inthe elevators and grocery stores in honlul is full of ukelele tunes.
