But I have ordered some strings, just to keep my hand in.

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Wow - what a great New Year's Eve I had!! Jarrett is home from college (He's going to Musician's Institute in L.A.), and we spent New Year's Eve here at the shop. He showed me his "recording equipment". He's got the newest version of Apple Logic Studio, with Pro Tools. Man, it'll do ANYTHING! Then we sat and wrote a song together. After that we went to the fireworks. Came back, I taught him a song on the banjo, then he picked up my baritone and we started to jam and ended up writing ANOTHER song. The first song we call, "Fireworks with Tequila", and the second song we finished at five of midnight and barely had time to make it down to see the ball drop at the Mueller Center. So we call that one, "Drop the Ball".
Best New Year's Eve I've had in decades. (First one I hadn't been in bed by 9 o'clock for in decades too.) Today, I'll be going home and taking a nap.
I hope this is the year we all start doing better, physically, financially, and of course musically. I wish you all a great new year and lots of new guitars. |
