Hello .
I am experiencing a line hum with an OP-Pro Studio.
Put in fresh battery.
No setting will make it go away.

Swapped it out with an OP-Pro from another guitar and no hum.

Came to the conclusion that it was the Studio (and not the guitar internals, cable,or amp grounding)
To be sure, put the Studio into the guitar where the OP-Pro cam from and got the same hum.

So the question now is there anything I can do to repair the OP-Pro Studio?
I see the 4 screws on the underside of the unit.

It's something internal. Good luck. Sounds like, you have a ground loop somewhere, in the preamp circuit. Akin to finding the proverbial needle in the haystack, unless you're skilled in this kind of detection protocol.
Does it make any difference when you put your fingers on the strings?

...also my OP Pro Studio makes hum. But if I exclude the knob gain of the amplifier , the hum disappears. I still think that is a flaw of many OP PRO STUDIO....

Seesquare: fingers on strings have no effect… thanks.

Titti: Manipulating the controls do not reduce the noise.... (XLR connection is slightly quieter but not by much.)

Unless there are other suggestions......the 4 screws are comin' off and I am going in.
( BTY the words "skilled", and "Detection Protocol" are just not in my network)

As Farragut said, "Damn the torpedoes".
