Joined: April 2003 Posts: 608 Location: Caribou, ME | Picked this up on ebay just for display in the Applause room. It appears to be brand new, never installed (tuner mounting holes never drilled, etc). I'm not sure what to think of it. It is a BOLT on like the Moosup Applauses but it is clearly all wood with an adjustable truss rod. The female threads are inside a piece of round stock that was inserted from the end cap area. The portion of the neck that would insert into the neck block is different than a Moosup Applause as well. Any Korean Applause I've ever owned or examined had GLUED in necks. Now maybe the early ones were bolt on... I do not know. Were they ever bolt on? So this could be a USA attempt to modify the Applause line, it could be a Korean test run, it could be a replacement neck for an early Korean Applause (assuming they were EVER bolt on)... anyone have any ideas? At first glance it looks like any Korean AA-31 neck....except for the bolt holes. ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by ksdaddy 2013-10-23 9:02 AM

Seriously though, I've never seen one exactly like in, in real life on online. The blue paper label said 'Made in USA' but its been partly torn off though I may have an older photo of it. I'll try and take better pictures on a real camera. I've always assumed that the neck is synthetic but maybe they'e just done a really good job finishing a piece of wood to look like plastic??? If I look at the neck block inside the body I don't see any bolts so always assumed it's glued in. Edited by sycamore 2013-11-06 7:01 AM
