Have you ever pulled a case out of storage and found a guitar that you had forgotten that you had?

No, but I've pulled out a case and found it empty and not been able to remember where the guitar is...

I'm still trying to figure out how I've got 10 guitars but only nine cases!

I had an extra case, so I told a guy I'd give it to him. Then I couldn't find it. Same number of cases as guitars.

I'm not as sick as you cats. I've never had more that 5 at a time. By "not as sick" I mean "more broke".

I was just giving a friend a bad time about spending $300 on some designer sunglasses and she was trying to justify the expense by saying they were prescription and all that. Then she said, "Wait a minute. I don't have any guitars." Shut me up. I admit to the sickness.

Mark,
I use the same line but followed with I don't have a (fishing boat, hunting rifles, fast car, etc.).

Nope: never had more than a few at a time...but beware the player who only has one guitar...they probably know how to play it.

I have a lot of that other stuff, too, but fortunately the lady with the sunglasses also had a faster, more expensive car.

I built storage racks for all my unused cases and stuck them in a corner of the basement. Some I haven't seen for years. I prefer to keep a few soft-sided hard-packed cases out and available that fit everything I need to transport. So much easier.

Yup - I opened up a a case and found a Peavey electric that I have ZERO recollection of buying. I'm thinking maybe I bought an amp and the guitar came along with it, but I just can't remember.

Years ago, I helped my parents with moving and clean-up when they were moving into their new home. From the pile to be trashed, found an old Harmony that my younger brother and I used to fiddle with when we were kids - I never took the guitar seriously then. But the instrument had seen better days, and given that it would probably cost more to restore it than what its worth, so off to the dumpster it went.
