| Hello All! Just want to say Hi and introduce myself. I had the pleasure of working at Ovation/Hamer a few years back and it was a blast! Great guitars, really good people to work with. I started in Ovation working on a project called the 'Q', which was a guitar made entirely carbon fiber. There were quite a few prototypes produced but, unfortunately, never made it to market. After the Q I was transferred to Hamer and learned the process of taking those wonderful guitars from the paint process all the way hanging them in the warehouse, ready to ship. I enjoyed that job very much and can honestly say I put my absolute best in every guitar that I was responsible for. I even burnt my little finger to the bone on the buffing wheel rather than let the wheel take the guitar and smash it into a thousand pieces...it was almost finished!
Anyway, good to be here!

| You got it! He wanted another one for an upcoming tour and the Very talented Mike S., Dave B., & a host of others at Hamer 'whipped it up'. I had nothing to do with that one but we all had a pic taken with it before we shipped it to him. Great memories. |

I'm contemplating a subtone, what're your thoughts on those? |

| I've actually never finished a subtone myself but Jol Dantzig loved them...as did a few other players in the Hamer workshop. I have a Custom Monaco Elite that I'm just about ready to finish. It's one of the most outrageous figured tops I've ever seen...and working at Hamer..I've seen a LOT of nice tops. My Brither, Gary, is the painter...or was the painter for Hamer when they were still producing on a daily basis. Now he's doing Guilds. He did a custom burst on mine and I'm just waiting for my Seth Lovers to come in so I can wire it and set it up.
Sorry for getting off topic...lol |

Hey, you should go say hi to people in the main section. There are only a few 'greeters' that can post in here. |
