hey all,

Pleasantly surprised to see a number of other Aussie O fans on here (hi Greg!) Got my first Magnum I back in '84, which was stolen a year later, and it took me untill 2011 to score another one (after a series of close encounters and near-misses).

Picked up a Breadwinner in '88 - someone had replaced the plastic saddles with some very dodgy home-made brass ones, and it's never been quite right. Looking for an original set to replace them, or any advice on suitable substitutes that don't involve replacing the entire bridge.

There's a bridge on eBay at present that would cost almost what I paid for the guitar by the time shipping is factored in, so if anyone has any leads on just the saddles, it would be much appreciated.

cheers,

Bill G.

Welcome Bill,

A moderator will come along soon to give you full access. Only a few people can post in the Welcome section, so re-posting this in the General section should get more replies.

Whereabouts in Oz are you located?

Hi Richard,
I'm in the Blue Mountains, having joined the steady stream of refugees from inner Sydney a few years back. Perhaps it's time I bought a round-back and started playing folk music like the rest of the hippies up here....
cheers, bg

Well you're closer to me than the rest of this banana bending mob.
