...or finding replacement parts if there are such things around. The active electronics are no longer working.

I've tried changing the batteries and all obvious things like looking for broken wiring but to no avail. So I'm assuming something in the electronics has crapped out ??!

When I turn the tone control to zero I can get sound. But once I start to turn past zero I get nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Tom

Hi Tom, I've got exactly the same problem on a Decaon that I've been re-building and making a new body for. Tested the electrics before I assembled it, but when I fitted them into the new body I found it would only work with the tone full off. This would suggest to me that something is shorting out, either on the tone control or maybe the preamp section. (Perhaps I didn't rout the body enough and one of the connections is pressing against something it shouldn't!) Just haven't had time to take it all apart again to examine it. - Possible it maybe is just something worn out! Considering the state the Deacon was in when I got, I was just glad to get any sound out of it at all. My natural instinct would be to go for the tone control but with these electrics, you never know. Let us know how you go on !
