What I did do was buy a beautiful "Folklore" from "Stellarjim" that was posted on this site. It's my first Ovation and and I couldn't be more pleased. It's in fantastic shape, rings like a bell and is simply the nicest sounding guitar I've played. So, as a newbie, I wanted to introduce myself to the Ovationfanclub members, to thank you fellas for maintaining this site, which is a font of Ovation nuanced information, and to thank "Stellarjim" for nursing this instrument along and turning her over to me. Me happy !

Just don't let Tupperware overcharge you for his revolutionary string tubes--a word to the wise is sufficient..... ;) --Karen

I have been crawling through the site and it's amazingly informative in a comfy relaxed way..like you guys are neighbors, hangin out on the porch ...and I'm learning a bunch about these unique instruments. Someday, I hope to be able to play!! I'm afraid you're right though...I'll probably wind up with a few older, seasoned Os, and maybe, just maybe try my hand at refurbishing one lost soul downstream, which is heresy in my family, having been raised orthodox Yamaha. (sold my flawless FGX412c cheap to finance the folklore) So thank you again and I'm damned glad to know y'all. Now,what the heck is a "string tube"???

As I understand it, you Canadians need something to help get you through those long winters...good choice! Take care. Jim

But did I read somewhere there's a new girl in your life. You no sooner ship off the EX and you're marrying her beautiful FD cousin ??? ;) Just can't get over those short wide necks huh? Congrats, she's just lovely. Gotta fly...installing my new string tubes now!
