Too many but that can tend to happen around here. A little excitement and everybody starts a thread to commemorate it (search 'Amelia').

This is a great idea well deserved. It would be nice to compact this into one thread.

Granted, Charlie was the impetus for the whole thing (and correct me if I'm wrong Bill, but I don't think he was a major "fan" of Rock&Roll), and Bill was pretty much instrumental in giving these guitars a "rock persona" and getting them into the right hands (albeit 30 years ago).

Not to mention Bill pioneered cowboy boots in the rock world with his annual picture of his boots. I think there may have been a guitar in the ads, too.

No, these were full-blown, two-toned, tuck-the-pants-in "cowboy" boots.
They bought 'em (and cheesey leather jackets) when they first played 'round the Kaiserkeller . . .
pre-tony Sheridan.

Ah. They bought the Chelsea boots right after Hamburg. Never seen pictures of them in cowboy boots.

There's a pic in the Bob Spiz book.
(I'd scan/post it, but someone has borrowed the book)
