Fun little online quiz. Identify 15 guitar solo sound clips (some ask the guitarist, some the song, some the group). A good way to waste 15 minutes at work :p . I scored 80/100.

It told me "You're either an old man or a serious throwback!"

Thanks.

Same here but on one I didn't really know the answer as much as could eliminate the others so maybe I got a little lucky on that one.

:D StumbleUpon . It's a great time-waster. If you're not familiar with it, when you enroll you check off a list of interests, then it puts a toolbar on your browser. Hit the Stumble! button and it takes you to a website that meets one of the categories you chose as interesting. You can rate it up or down & their server keeps track of these ratings to further tailor the list of sites it might send you to. As I said, a fun way to surf and waste time when work is slow.

Yeah, I see: 93 got me the "old man" comment. Most of them are instant "icon" sounds like the Tull, or the Kossoff solo (All Right Now) or Santana or Schon or McCartney or Blackmore or Gibbons. No Brainer!

They should have scored it by time as well. There were a lot of them it took 1 or 2 notes. To think of all the useful things I can't remember because of the space taken up by guitar licks.

That was fun, I got a 79. I think I did good. They could of put some more profound guitar riffs, but that would make it too easy.

94 on the one to match guitar to guitarist. I'm glad I have a place to admit that, anywhere else it would be embarrassing. Maybe here too, but I'm sure there are others with the same sickness.

I got a 61/100.....which is a great score for me considering there wasn't a banjo or a steel guitar on any of those songs!! ;)
