I have a Legend that has the Mono jack only, and was wondering if I could convert it to stereo. I have what is left of a Custom Legend that I parted out a while back. What remains is the bowl, and the electronics, still intact. I'm not sure if everything still works, however. I'm not a A/E guy, so I need help with this. What all would I have to change from one guitar to the other? I know I would have to drill a second hole in the bowl for the stereo jack. What about the Bridge and saddle? Would this be a worthwhile upgrade?

The saddle/peizo assembly is the same physical size, but the wiring configuration out of the stereo pickup will only work properly with the stereo preamp. You would have to drill an additional hole in the bowl for the second jack, but that's the only mod you'd have to make.m But as Vic asks, Why? If you rarely play plugged in I wouldn't bother. Sell the preamp on eBay.

edited to add: I have two O's with stereo preamps and I've never used the stereo jack.

O.K. Thanks for the advise. I played it plugged in tonight, and it sounded very nice. Since this is a Prototype Model, I best leave it be.
