 My favorite guitar dealer in my area has just got in the # 24 of 25 made of a Jimmy Page Les Paul that he signed and played.
The price is $50.000.00.
Do you think it will sell???
I am absolutely amazed by what the Gibson & Fender guitar companys are coming out with in the last few years and the rediculous prices ( to me )for brand new reproduction guitars.Whats up with someone paying that kind of cheese for something brand new and not an original?
Any ideas of what might be next?GWB

Some people have too much money.
Guarantee they will sell in no time.
And in a couple of years they'll bring out another 25 and charge $75000

He played it, so it's not new - it's second hand. And he signed it, so it's shop soiled.

I'd be pushing for a discount.

Well, if the Cobain Ovation could go for $55,000 on ebay, it makes me wonder why they are only asking $50,000... ;)

It's nice to have a store like Huber around.
If there is some kind of special edition guitar like this, he will have them. It's nice to look anyway.

If you really did have $50,000 to blow on guitars, just imagine the collection you could create. I would have a bunch of players and probably nothing that would need to be behind glass. Some nice amps, too. Maybe some neon to brighten up the place as well.

I'm with professor BB ... 50,000 could get a bunch of nice guitars. Waste of money to me. As Muzza said, shop soiled and second hand, for goodness sake.

50 large would get a great bunch of guitars.
I'm going to be nice and not say anything about page.

It's 50g because Page is still alive.
The Cobain guitar was being sold by his Aunt.

but I didn't have to buy the guitar :D

Mike, in all seriousness, I share your thoughts. Cleaning out a file cabinet, I found the letter that Les gave me with my guitar. He contributed a lot to the music industry.

I personally would not let anybody sign their name on one of my nice guitars.
I would buy a Fender Squier or whatever cheap brand of guitar to do that to.
Would you really ruin one of your best guitars to let a celebrity sign their name on it with a sharpie? No Way.GWB

Thanks Tony: he really has been a big part of my life: I have owned 15 Les Pauls in my lifetime...and I have the neck/shoulder problems to prove it...
I like Zep...been jammin to them since 1968/9 and I have played a lot of their music over the years: but there is nothing quite like a Les Paul and for me that means a Les Paul Custom (3 pups).
I also have the pic's from the signing and the newspaper article from the reporter there that night and a letter! Yes, I bought this Les Paul but it has probably tripled in price since I bought it: it is the only 3 pup Custom made in 1997.
GWB, I have other guitars to play...this one is special and is an investment...but I do play it and it is SWEET...I just take care of it...Les is not getting any younger...and he's an Icon and a gentleman...again, for me, I am proud to have his sig. on his guitar model that has made Rock history! How cool is that...Tony, I know you feel the same way!

Mike thats a sweet LPC.
That will be worth more when Les goes as an individual signing rather than ones done for commercial greed and marketing.
