It turns the output up on all the preamps I 've had. It made mine significantly louder. I put it back where it was. It sounded better.

..if I understand correctly,the trimmer adjusts the volume of the preamp?

Okay... You just caused me to pull-out all of my OP-Pro preamps looking for the little knobby.
None of my OP-Pros have that...
Although many have a hole in that spot that just shows green circuit board.
I do have one on my VIP preamp. But that is the only one.

If I had found one I would have definitely experimented with it.
I would have liked to have an OP-Pro with a little more volume for playing-on-the-street.
