Before posting I thought I'd double check the archives first (and surprise!) found out this was up for sale before... back in '09 (and before that too). But there weren't any pics included in that post, so for those like me who never saw it before...
I hadn't ever seen a leather guitar before.

I always thought that was the coolest. Elvis also had a leather-wrapped Martin back in the '50s but I have no idea how that worked. Seems the leather would completely kill an acoustic, even if it had an internal pickup?

This is an AWESOME guitar by the way. The neck is like a baseball bat, so if you're into that... it makes it soooo easy to play. I don't recall thinking it was particularly heavy either. I'm sure you could contact Tony and get matching boots in your size and if you wear boots, and don't have a pair of Murga Boots, you are missing out on that as well.

I had forgotten that one. It is possible the one Merle had was a gift from Waylon...I thought Waylon's guitars all had his name inlaid on the neck...apparently not true. Dammit on the boot size. That's definitely the kind of retro-country gettup that I aspire to!

When he joined some of the Suspects for a jam at Karen's Crib back in January, he was promoting his line of custom guitars and accessories. The man is a true artist. http://www.murgaboots.com/products/guitarsgatorstrapsamps.html
