Recently I've bought the Celebrity by Ovation CC65 guitar. It's now on the way to my home, and I'm trying to figure out the issue with preamp.
CC65 has one volume and one tone pots, but it seemsto me it has no battery. The official Ovation support, though, claims that this guitar has stereo FET preamp.
Has anyone ever owned or played this guitar? What preamp does this guitar loaded with in fact?
Thanks! |

I had a CC57 from that era. (Mine actually said "Celebrity" on the headstock)
But mine just had a volume knob, a tone knob, and no battery.
It actually sounded pretty good, and was loud though the amp.
I don't know about being an FET amp.
And I don't think that mine was stereo.
But if it is what I am thinking of... Yeah. Passive system, no battery.

The guitar is ok. Well, not a high end Instrument, but a good bang for the buck. Mine played and sounded nice although not that bottom end of my Pacemaker or the Adamas 1685.
