I have a potential opportunity to purchase an Adamas 6591 but have no knowledge of the guitar regarding it's 'pros and cons, playability etc.

Any help, opinions or comments from OFC members regarding this would be much appreciated.

Cheers jamesholl

James, a quick search on Google and you'll see the first hit is a topic from the OFC on these...

There is a reason (IMHO) why these were made for only a short period of time.

As someone who has replaced several tops (including round hole tops) with exotic pieces of wood, I have wondered what a CF top would sound like with A-bracing more than once. I'm certain it would sound as different from a standard Adamas as a Legend does from an Elite.

But I happen to like the sounds of both Legends and Elites, so I am more than a bit curious. If you like the looks and the sound, then you're good to go. Not to mention it would make a seriously rugged stage instrument.

I have seen a couple of these go for great prices over the years, but I happen to not like the aesthetics of them, so I have not indulged. Still, I have a VERY nifty picture in my mind....very nifty indeed......

So has this been de-adamasized?

Nothing about this guitar impresses me enough to want to buy one.

Many thanks to all who contributed to this post and all who have previously contributed to the two very informative links give to me by Damon and Jeffrey, thanks chaps. I have decided now I know a bit more about this model not to purchase it and, on this instance, keep my 'folding beer tokens' secure in my wallet.

Again, many thanks........jamesholl
