Yep sure am,been alive about 50 years now,Love playing just not that good at it.I'm a Kiwi ,born and breed in New Zealand, owned two Ovations a Legend ,sold to buy an Elite, sold to go to College,so am looking to replace that soon with maybe a collectors.Seems that people here have more that one Ovation or Adamas, pretty amazing.I have at present only a Guild D70 Nt ,its a real pearler,......If I could add to it, An Adamas 1587 0r 587 ,a Black Custom legend,an Elite Cutaway, and Grail would be an 1987 collector or 1996 'book' Elite.I have a wood working background, and worked a fair bit with carbon though the superyacht/raceboat industry ,so get revved up by both wood and carbon.so to answer the question Damon67,Yes I'm real ,thanks for asking

Cool, welcome! We try to weed out the real people from the bots, scammers and phishers here.

Feel free to post away. we have similar backgrounds with race boating background. That's where I first played with carbon fiber too, way back in the 80s building boats designed by a guy named Tom Wylie. Here's an article on him from Latitude 38

http://www.wyliecat.com/about/about_tom.html

I built the 27' Wabbits. I also worked for an entire summer transforming what was once known as his creation, the "Lightspeed" into the "American Express", the only American boat to ever win the Mini-Transat singlehanded transatlantic race.

oops, it was the other way around. it was the American Express, then after we butchered it, the Lightspeed.

Looks like it's still racing away down in NZ

Another cool article on Tom: http://www.stevencallahan.net/images/proboat/wylie-feb2002.pdf
