I have been following a guitar listed on ebay and am very interested in bidding on it. I have tried twice to contact the seller with a couple of questions, but I have thus far received no response. This is a new experience for me (no response from a seller).

Is something as dodgy as it seems to me (since I am a skeptical sort), or is bidding usually a green light in such cases?

Thanks!

Some people don't visit their computer very often.
Some people don't own a computer and use one at work or the public library.
But I would look at the Seller's feedback and completed listings to discover if he/she is a jerk.
If the Seller has very low feedback they might be a noobie...
If not they just might not want to answer questions...
If you don't answer questions you get an automatic 5 on you "communication" stars.
(that make sense, huh?)

No, you don't have to bid to communicate...
Nowadays, most bidding happens in the last minute.

Hope that helps....

It's gone now... At a disgustingly low price too!

I KNOW ---- and I totally blew it! I am not very well versed on this ebay thing (bought 4 things - no guitars - and sold 0). I missed the BIN button at the end, and ....... ah crap. No whining.

The search continues, and lesson learned. Thank you very much for your incredibly helpful input.

But remember, if someone places a bid, the BIN offer disappears and it becomes a straight out auction. Sometimes finishing higher than the BIN price.

No wonder I couldn't find it! Okay ----- best to get the BIN if it looks good straightaway.

Thanks.
