Please use this link to Craigslist/Hartford CT to see them. Thank you. Rick Taylor http://hartford.craigslist.org/msg/3428221563.html

Joined: November 2012 Posts: 9 | I just re-read my little rant on scammers at the end of the first post. Not happy that I came off sounding so touchy, but I've been absolutely barraged by Craigslist scammers and the guitar hasn't even been posted for a full day yet! Unreal. Figured it's better to give them advance notice, but they probably don't even read the ads, I guess. Sorry...I'm not that grumpy normally.

Yes, unfortunately modern life has come down to this. What a shame. Rick Taylor Hartford, CT (USA) NOTE: Serious inquiries only, please! Thanks, but no, you can't "take it off my hands" for only $500 or $600. I will remove the post as soon as the guitar sells, so there's no need to ask if it's still available or not. SCAMMERS: Don't EVEN waste your time or mine. I WILL NOT ACCEPT money orders, checks, Western Union, promissory notes, handwritten IOUs, references from your church leader, urgent emails from your 'assistant' while you are traveling stating you will pay $50 over the asking price, or a note from your Mommy verifying that you are "good for the money." Seriously, scammers have gotten this bad and this ridiculous... Diplomacy ain't your strong suit, huh? Never read "How to Win Friends and Influence People"? I think that you will be keeping that one for a while.

Granted, you may get a lower offer but that is what a potential buyer is willing (or can pay). Worst that you do is say no. The 2005C is a great guitar but this is not a good economy. Any comments that you receive concerning your listing are to help you. We have a good group...relax. I have sold or traded a number of guitars with other members of the OFC and never had a problem.

I didn't have that spammer rant on my Craigslist ad; only added it to the OFC ad (which was placed later that same day as the Craigslist ad) because I was hit with so many obvious Craigslist scams. Was the first time I had posted anything for sale online, and frankly was not prepared for that kind of blatant scamming at all. So figured I'd do a pre-emptive strike to prevent that from happening when posting to OFC; wasn't intending to offend anyone on this site, just was still smarting from the blizzard of bogus CL emails. Happily, haven't had any problems here, and I'm grateful for that and the feedback I've gotten. And I did state that I'd take the best reasonable offer...

+1 Tony Calman - 2012-11-26 11:08 AM I can appreciate your frustration with Craig's List. However, on this forum we do not need a spammer lecture. +2 You could try asking one of the moderators to edit your post and remove the 'rant'... BTW, I have an '05ES - I highly recommend them. GREAT guitar. Personally, I like the LACK of bling on this model. I always wanted an Al Di Meola, but the '05 came along at the right time and right price. I think of it as a contour bowl ADII without the boost button.

Emailed the Administrator twice, but haven't heard back either time. Thanks for any directions you might offer, I really appreciate it.
