Location: Burbank | I am dealing with a 1661 that is being plugged into a Fender Acoustisonic amp and is getting feedback at somewhat low volume. I can get a sound hole plug for it but I have always heard that feedback and Ovations aren't really a problem. Any suggestions? |

In my experience O's and A's feed back just like any guitars, though you may find that a particular model of Ovation with a particular type of amp is more resistant to feedback than others you have tried. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I found my 1651 Legend Ltd to be particularly susceptible to feedback, and always on the open A string. Fortunately, most decent acoustic amps, including the Acoustasonic, have a notch filter that allows the offending frequency to be dialed down. As others suggest, a sound hold plug is even better, which is what I added to my 1569 Legend. I never have feedback issues with it. |
